The Story of Norell
Authentic & creative, pure & local
Formerly the beloved Waters of the World, now the surprising Norell. Even more luxurious, even more delicious, even more Nordic. The menu will definitely surprise you.
Authentic and creative, pure and masterful. Our head chef Yordi Springer and his team create the most delightful dishes from the finest ingredients — conceived and prepared with love. You can taste it, you can feel it.
Warm, cozy & hygge
The interior of Norell is just as tasteful — warm and inviting. Hygge, as they say in Scandinavia: a cozy place where you feel at home and completely in the moment. A sense of well-being that perfectly matches what you can expect from us.
At Restaurant Norell, gastronomy comes in a homely setting. Here, you can simply be yourself, relax, and fully enjoy. Complete your wellness day with a delicious dinner — or visit Thermen Bad Nieuweschans just for it. Enjoy!
Taste the nature and the season
In a peaceful, beautiful setting surrounded by luxury, you can enjoy culinary surprises and fine wines at Restaurant Norell. We believe that responsible dining contributes to good health and vitality. Care and attention are at the heart of a truly delightful culinary experience.
Many of our products come straight from the land or from our own herb garden and are lovingly selected and produced by our suppliers. Wherever possible, we choose organically grown ingredients full of flavor. Naturally, we take into account everything the seasons have to offer.
The kitchen of Norell
Head chef Yordi Springer and his team invite you to enjoy pure, flavorful dishes — always seasonal and lovingly prepared.
The dishes are inspired by Scandinavian cuisine, with ingredients sourced mainly locally, as much as possible from the Groningen region. By combining modern and traditional cooking techniques and using regional ingredients (sometimes even from our own “backyard”), the kitchen team creates contemporary dishes in the style of the Nordic Cuisine.
“Håper det smaker” — or in other words, “Enjoy your meal!”
