Hamam treatment

In our bathhouse, you first take a seat in the steam room, where your pores open, allowing the skin to be deeply cleansed. On a heated marble table, you are gently rinsed with warm water. Your entire body is then scrubbed to remove dead skin cells. Afterward, you are traditionally soaped and massaged with our local Groninger rapeseed soap.

After the ritual, your skin feels silky soft and you’ll feel completely renewed. The Hamam is a wonderful, intense experience for both body and mind. Truly uplifting!

An Eastern ritual with a Groningen twist...

If you know Groningen, you’ve surely seen the endless fields of blooming rapeseed. For centuries, rapeseed has been cultivated here – a bright yellow, fragrant crop that blooms beautifully in April and May. The seeds are pressed into vegetable oil, used not only for biofuel but also for our very own Groninger Rapeseed Soap, applied during the Hamam treatment.

Benefits for your skin: it soothes, moisturizes, and provides excellent care for dry, sensitive, and irritated skin. And not to forget – the scent is wonderfully relaxing.
